A major discovery has been made in the Mexican state of Chiapas.
For the first time a tiny remote camera has peered inside the tomb of a Mayan ruler in the city of Palenque.
The tomb was sealed shut over 1,500 years ago, the photographs have revealed red frescoes, pottery and pieces of funerary.
It’s believed the vault holds the remains of a Mayan ruler who lived there between, AD 431 and 550.
Palenque is one of the most important Mayan archaeological sites ever to be discovered.
