This year’s Eurovision 2011 was won by Azerbaijan, the popular contest took place in Dusseldorf in Germany.
Millions of people tuned in across the world to watch what is normally, cringe worthy television.  But for a change it wasn't, well at least the music was good.  I don't know if the same can be said for the presenters pratting around on stage.

The show was opened by Paradise Oscar AKA Axel Ehnstrom from Finland.
The United Kingdom did much better than last year with the boys from Blue scoring high in 11th place.  A much better tune than last year, so it’s a petty we didn’t win, I can say that because this blog/website hails from the UK. Oh well there’s always next year and the year after that.  In the UK comedian Graham Norton commentated over the television pictures coming from Germany.  I think one of the best things he said was “I’m so excited, I think my bladder may burst.” Well he was doing a show over 3-hours long; at his age his bladder may burst.  But seriously Graham Norton is much loved in the UK and he did a grand job entertaining us with his wit.
Ireland had Jedward singing for them with their hit Lipstick and it was actually quite catchy.  Jedward came 8th.
