A plane with 500 passengers on board coming into London’s Heathrow Airport has been struck by two bolts of lightning.
The incident was captured on video by photographer Chris Dawson, and shows the plane an Emirates Airbus A380 being struck just minutes before landing.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, which happened over the Easter weekend, but the UK Civil Aviation Authority CAA do say if planes are struck by lightning they can lose important components on the aircraft.
However the plane, passengers and crew were all left just fine.
Have you flown through a lightning storm? Please comment if you have. I was flying out of Sky Harbour in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and went through this terrific storm, I don’t know how we survived but we did.
