A dog in Malta has been found buried alive after being shot 40 times in the head.
The animal named Star was found by rescuers in the city of Birzebbuga and is now being looked after by the authorities.
The news has caused outrage across the small island and the rest of the world, many people are calling for bigger penalties for animal cruelty in Malta.
Star is now being cared for and rehabilitated at an animal sanctuary and won’t be rehomed any time soon.
