A television soap actress in England has admitted to leaving her mum’s corpse unburied while claiming benefits in her name.
61-year-old Hazel Maddock is accused of keeping the remains of her 95-year-old mum Olive Maddock for up to six months in the house she shared with her in Merseyside.
Hazel was in Hollyoaks and Brookside and pleaded guilty to two charges, including unlawful prevention of burial and a charge relating to obtaining an amount of her mother’s state pension.
35-year-old Jasmine Maddock the granddaughter of the dead mother also admitted to leaving a corpse unburied.
Both Jasmine and Hazel have been warned by the judge they could both face a jail sentence when they return in the dock for sentencing on July 1st, the pair have been bailed until that date.
