In the Saint Louis cathedral in New Orleans home of the Cajuns is a stained glass window which reflects Saint Louis battles in the Seventh Crusade. I believe the one window reflects the Grand Master of the Temple the brave William De Sonnac. He is the knight kneeling with the bandage over his one eye. In the Battle of Mansoorah he lost an eye but continued to fight. Most of the Templars were killed due to the arrogant Count of Artois who not listening to the advice of the Templar Grandmaster charged ahead rather than waiting for reinforcements. The Grandmaster made the decision to try to save the foolish Count and the Templars were trapped. The Grandmaster was one of the few who survived.
