The first images taken by the LRO were published on the July 2, 2009, aimed at the region in the lunar highlands south of Mare Nubium (Sea of Clouds). On July 17, 2009 some images of the Apollo landing sites were released by NASA but a scientist was not so sure NASA had found the lander? Looking at the image the first thing Ron Stewart Scientist noticed was the size and shape of the shadow produced by the object that NASA points to as the lander, it is nearly twice the size of the crater in front of it. Using the most scientifically advanced imaging equipment APEP-ADVANCED PHOTOGRAPHIC EXTRACTION PROCESS Mr. Stewart decided to look very closely at the object to determine if this was in fact the lander.
